Dr. Derek Vanhille

I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Utah and attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I then completed an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery or Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, I trained at the largest pediatric hospital in the state and learned from multiple fellowship-trained physicians in all subspecialty areas of ENT (pediatrics, otology, rhinology, laryngology, facial plastics, and head and neck cancer). I am board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

I chose to become a physician because I enjoy helping patients. I like teaching patients about the complexities of the body and helping them through the healing process. I chose to specialize in ENT because it offers variety and the ability to provide care for patients in both the clinic setting and in the operating room. I get satisfaction from helping patients improve their quality of life by treating them for their various ENT concerns.

When I am not taking care of patients, I enjoy running, hiking, boating, skiing, and being outside with my family.
